Detailed Information:

This waterfall drains a series of small ponds and tarns on top of the famous Kjerag, or Kiragg, a 1000 meter tall mountain which drops straight off into the Lysefjord. Because the falls have such a small drainage area - which doesn't appear to possess a lot of soil - the falls run off very quickly and dry out by the summer. When the falls do flow, the small stream sprays over 700 meters straight down to a large alluvial fan, before entering the ocean. The small volume makes the falls susceptable to being blown away in the wind, and appears to be difficult to photograph in a favorable way unless the stream is running high. While the height is significant in both the case of the uninterupted drop and as a whole, the bottom line is this isn't a significant waterfall.
